The Senate President Bukola Saraki has just confirmed that students and lecturers of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho, will resume on Friday.
The management of the university had announced that students and staff of the varsity should resume on Monday, September 18 but the news had elicited a negative reaction from the striking staff members who said they were unaware of the development.
However, Saraki, via his Twitter page on Wednesday, said the imminent resumption of academic activities was due to the intervention of his office during a meeting held with the aggrieved lecturers.
Quoting a post by DailyPost on the resumption on Friday, he wrote;
“Glad that after our intervention, #LAUTECH students will be returning back to school. Kudos to the @oyostategovt and @StateofOsun!”
