British Prime Minister, Theresa May, on Thursday, arrived Nigeria, as part of her visit to some African countries, and proceeded to a meeting with head of states, President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The influential UK politician, became a trending topic on social media shortly after her visit to the country and it’s all thanks to her suit which its material was made from local Nigerian fabric.
The impressive suit was made from the famous ‘Akwete Cloth’ – a locally made fabric by the women from Akwete from Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia state.
Nigerians from the South Eastern part of the country have taken to their respective social media pages to laud the British PM who ignored Eurpoean designers, including Gucci and Prada, to support the locally made product from the country.
